Despite a tentative ceasefire announced earlier, the strategic waterway remained effectively closed, with daily traffic plummeting to just three vessels compared to the pre-war average of 135. Trump emphasized that any attempts by Iran to levy fees on tankers would violate current understandings and jeopardized ongoing diplomatic talks. The geopolitical situation was further complicated by renewed Israeli strikes in Lebanon and fresh drone attacks on vital facilities in Kuwait by Iranian proxies. Oil prices responded with volatility; US crude jumped nearly 4% to settle near USD 98 per barrel following news that Saudi Arabia\u2019s production capacity was cut by over half a million barrels per day due to regional strikes. Economy: Government weighed PNBP target revision amid high commodity prices<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Finance (Kemkeu) considered an adjustment to the 2026 non-tax state revenue (PNBP) target, currently set at IDR459.2tn. The initial target represented a 14% decline from the 2025 realization, largely due to the absence of recurring legal fines and the reallocation of state-owned enterprise (SOE) dividends to Danantara. However, the government observed potential for increased revenue driven by the sustained upward trend in global commodity prices, particularly for oil and coal. Mochammad Agus Rofiudi, a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Finance, stated that the government is currently conducting an adjustment and projection to determine the ideal revenue level. He noted that natural resources (SDA), including both oil and gas and non-oil sectors, continue to account for more than half of PNBP.
