Bond Market Review (Wednesday,04\/08)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prices of Government Debt Securities (SUN) strengthened in yesterday\u2019s trading session, with yields declining more sharply at the front end of the curve. PHEI data showed that the yield on the 5-year SUN benchmark (FR0109) declined by 20 basis points (bps) to 6.24%, while the yield on the 10-year SUN benchmark (FR0108) fell by 7 bps to 6.58%. According to Bloomberg data, the 10-year SUN yield curve (GIDN10YR) decreased by 9 bps to 6.60%. The 10-year yield remains within our weekly estimated range of 6.54%\u20136.81%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outright transaction volume in Government Securities (SBN) reached Rp32.3 trillion yesterday, higher than the previous day\u2019s volume of Rp27.2 trillion. FR0109 and FR0104 were the two most actively traded series in the secondary market, with transaction volumes of Rp5.8 trillion and Rp2.5 trillion, respectively. Meanwhile, outright transaction volume for corporate bonds totaled Rp5.3 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At yesterday\u2019s SRBI auction, Bank Indonesia set the total amount awarded at Rp17.0 trillion, indicating stronger absorption compared with last week\u2019s single SRBI auction (1 April), which recorded a total awarded amount of Rp15.0 trillion. The weighted average yield (WAY) for the 12-month SRBI stood at 5.66%, increasing by approximately 7 bps from 5.59% at the 1 April auction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloomberg data showed that the Rupiah strengthened by 0.54% against the US Dollar, moving from Rp17,105\/US$ on Tuesday to Rp17,012\/US$ yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bond Market Preview (Thursday,04\/09)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The direct U.S.-Iran confrontation appears to have eased for now, but the broader regional conflict has not been fully contained. In market terms, this suggests that immediate tail risks have moderated, although the risk of renewed escalation remains, given the fragile nature of the current ceasefire and ongoing regional tensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of this morning, global indicators point to positive sentiment, reflected in lower US Treasury (UST) yields and declining Indonesia Credit Default Swap (CDS) levels. The 5-year and 10-year UST yields declined by 3 bps and 4 bps, respectively, to 3.92% and 4.29%. Meanwhile, Indonesia\u2019s 5-year CDS fell by 7 bps to 88 bps. Similar CDS tightening was also observed in other regional markets such as the Philippines and Malaysia. Despite potential easing in geopolitical tension, stronger demand for short-duration bonds suggests that investors continue to favor defensive positioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking the above factors into account, we expect stronger demand for Rupiah-denominated Government Securities (SBN). Based on yield-curve valuation, the following bonds may be attractive for investors: FR0082, FR0091, FR0096, FR0065, FR0100, and FR0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
