Bond Market Review (Tuesday,09\/23)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prices of Government Debt Securities (SUN) closed weaker in yesterday\u2019s trading session. Based on data from PHEI, the yield on the 5-year SUN Benchmark (FR0104) rose by 1 basis point (bp) to 5.42%, while the yield on the 10-year SUN Benchmark (FR0103) increased by 1 bp to 6.33%. Bloomberg data showed that the 10-year SUN yield curve (GIDN10YR) rose by 1 bp to 6.34%. The 10-year yield curve level remains within our weekly estimated range of 6.18\u20136.37%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The outright transaction volume of Government Securities (SBN) was recorded at Rp40.3 trillion yesterday, higher than the previous day\u2019s trading volume of Rp31.7 trillion. FR0107 and FR0106 were the two most actively traded series in the secondary market, with transaction volumes of Rp6.1 trillion and Rp4.7 trillion, respectively. Meanwhile, the outright trading volume of corporate bonds was recorded at Rp2.6 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Data from DJPPR showed that total incoming bids at yesterday\u2019s SUN auction reached Rp98.5 trillion, higher than the previous SUN auction on September 9, which recorded Rp79.6 trillion. Out of the eight series offered, the Government set the total awarded amount at Rp33.0 trillion, above the indicative target of Rp27 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bloomberg data indicated that the Rupiah exchange rate against the US Dollar weakened by 0.46%, from Rp16,611\/US$ on Monday to Rp16,688\/US$ yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bond Market Preview (Wednesday,09\/24)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of this morning, global indicators show mixed sentiment. Indonesia\u2019s 5-year Credit Default Swap (CDS) rose by 2 bps from the previous day to 81 bps. Meanwhile, the US Treasury (UST) yield curve for 5-year and 10-year tenors each fell by 3 bps to 3.68% and 4.12%, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Considering the above factors, we anticipate volatility in prices and yields of Rupiah-denominated Government Securities (SBN). Based on yield curve valuation, the following bonds may be attractive to investors: FR0100, FR0068, FR0103, and FR0106.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
