Saat ini, peringkat surat utang Indonesia mengalami kenaikan
\ndari BB+ menjadi BBB-. Peringkat tersebut diberikan pada bulan Mei lalu oleh lembaga pemeringkat
\nStandard and Poors (S&P). Hal ini disambut gembira oleh Presiden Jokowi
\nyang menyatakan bahwa ekonomi Indonesia masih dipercaya di tengah kondisi
\nekonomi global yang tidak menentu. Presiden Jokowi menambahkan bahwa kenaikan
\nini menunjukkan tata kelola keuangan Indonesia semakin baik dibarengi dengan fiskal
\ndan moneter yang semakin baik. Sekarang, pihak internasional memiliki kemudahan
\nuntuk menanamkan investasi di Indonesia<\/p>\n
Harapan Presiden Jokowi ke depan, kenaikan peringkat berperan
\nuntuk membantu Indonesia untuk menurunkan biaya utang pemerintah. Hal ini dapat membantu dalam efisiensi serta menambah ruang fiskal yang lebih besar. Kenaikan peringkat itu
\ndapat membuat biaya bunga menjadi lebih murah yang terdapat di APBN. Potensi
\ninvestasi Indonesia pun menjadi terbuka luas dari dalam negeri terutama dari luar
\nnegeri. Dimana kepercayaan berdasarkan kenaikan dapat membuka lapangan kerja sebanyak-banyaknya
